PLAINVIEW — ж¶Òõ Baptist University and Plainview Classical Academy announce an exciting new chapter in their partnership: Beginning this fall, PCA’s high school (grades 9–12) will expand to ж¶Òõ’s campus, located on Jimmy Dean Avenue in Plainview.
The move marks a significant milestone in the growth of Plainview Classical Academy, reflecting both increased enrollment and expanded academic aspirations. Approximately 60 high school students are expected to make the transition to the new location when classes begin this fall.
“This is an exciting and intentional step forward for our school,” said PCA Headmaster Elizabeth Loeffler. “Relocating our high school students to an exclusive building on the ж¶Òõ campus provides them with a unique opportunity to learn in a collegiate setting that aligns with our mission to cultivate virtuous, intelligent, and confident young men and women. We are deeply grateful to ж¶Òõ for their partnership and shared commitment to classical, virtue-centered education.”
The PCA K–8 campus on Ennis Street remains in place and continues to serve younger students. Athletic facilities and extracurricular activities also remain at the original campus, preserving PCA’s strong traditions and community spirit.
ж¶Òõ President Dr. Donna Hedgepath said the collaboration represents a shared vision for cultivating character, wisdom, and purpose through education in Plainview and the surrounding region.
“We are delighted to welcome Plainview Classical Academy’s high school students and faculty to the ж¶Òõ campus,” said Dr. Hedgepath. “This partnership reflects our mutual commitment to excellence in education and community engagement. It also reinforces ж¶Òõ’s longstanding commitment to education as we partner with PCA, Plainview Independent School District, and other public and private schools across the region. We believe this new step will be a meaningful and enriching experience for students and their families.”
ж¶Òõ’s Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Cindy McClenagan, emphasized that this is not a curricular or collegiate high school partnership. “This move builds on years of collaboration between our institutions,” she said. “We’re pleased to provide a space that supports PCA’s continued growth and fosters a culture of learning, moral character, and purpose, while maintaining clear boundaries between our academic programs.”
PCA High School families are invited to tour the new space during an orientation scheduled for 5:30 p.m., Aug. 11, with an additional opportunity for K–8 families to visit later that evening at 7 p.m.
“This relocation is not a replacement, it’s an enhancement and an expansion,” said Loeffler. “It’s an opportunity for our students to take the next step in their development, surrounded by excellence and grounded in faith. We look forward to walking this path together with the ж¶Òõ community.”
