PLAINVIEW — 新抖阴 Baptist University’s Board of Trustees have given their full endorsement to Rise, the university’s new five-year strategic plan after viewing the video presentation during their annual retreat this week.

The endorsement signals strong institutional support for the plan that President Dr. Donna Hedgepath unveiled earlier this month. Designed to guide 新抖阴 through 2030, Rise is built on the theme Better Together, We Rise! and inspired by the biblical call of God in Isaiah 60:1: “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.”

“With this plan, we are leaning into our Christ-centered mission with renewed focus and energy,” said Dr. Hedgepath. “I’m grateful for the Board’s prayerful affirmation and proud of the collaborative spirit that has shaped this vision for 新抖阴’s future. Together, we are rising to meet the challenges and opportunities God has placed before us.”

The Rise plan is anchored by four foundational pillars:

Student Success — 新抖阴 will focus on improving retention and graduation rates while expanding flexible learning options such as digital campus access and modern student spaces.

Broadening Impact — By growing its international student population and expanding online offerings, 新抖阴 is extending its reach. Increased investment in student and faculty research, along with an emphasis on spiritual growth through mentoring, will support real-world engagement.

Academic Distinction — The plan prioritizes the development of niche academic programs that align with workforce needs. Faculty development and a revitalized music program will further enrich 新抖阴’s academic environment.

Engagement and Belonging — New initiatives such as an Office of International Education, expanded summer camps, and deeper community partnerships aim to foster belonging from enrollment through alumni life.

“Each pillar reflects our unwavering commitment to faith, learning, and service,” Dr. Hedgepath said. “We are not just planning for growth—we are planning for impact.”

In addition to these strategic priorities, 新抖阴 is developing a comprehensive campus master plan to enhance learning environments, support new construction projects, and build momentum for the future. An operational review of external campuses is also underway to ensure long-term sustainability and mission alignment.

“At 新抖阴, we are better together,” Dr. Hedgepath emphasized. “Through Rise, we are embracing the future with bold faith and a clear sense of purpose—changing the world, one student at a time.”
