Reed returns to WBU-Lubbock as Assistant Executive Director

LUBBOCK — ж¶Òõ Baptist University announces the appointment of Dr. Christy Reed as Assistant Executive Director and Assistant Dean of the university’s Lubbock campus.

Dr. Reed brings more than two decades of experience in education, including more than five years previously teaching education courses at ж¶Òõ’s Lubbock campus. She began her ж¶Òõ career in 2011 and served as a full-time faculty member until 2016, continuing as an adjunct professor through 2018. Her return marks a homecoming to the campus and community she knows well.

“We are delighted to welcome back Dr. Reed,” said Dr. Judy Jarratt, Executive Director and Dean. “Dr. Reed’s experience and expertise are just what we need to continue to serve the students on the Lubbock campus. Christy’s contagious smile and her energy are infectious.”

Since 2020, Dr. Reed has served in academic leadership roles at Northeastern State University and Tarleton State University, gaining valuable administrative experience. She also brings seven years of experience as a classroom teacher and a track record of securing more than $357,000 in educational grants. She holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas Tech University.
